SAP Note 195715 - Service connection types "BW RFC" and "BW GUI"

Component : Enduser Technology - Business Explorer

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/195715 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
Due to challenges in the Business Information Warehouse front end, SAP requires access via Business Explorer Analyzer directly into the customer's system. Customers are requested to enable BW RFC and BW GUI connection types. Implemented as an RFC client, the Business Explorer Analyzer uses SAPGUI-based dialogs, necessitating the configuration of a service connection in the Online Service System and adjustments in the SAProuter via the saprouttab file. To establish these connections, customers must create the service connections and then modify the SAProuter’s configuration to allow the designated ports, detailed in SAP Note 31515.
