Summary :
SAP Java Connector (SAP JCo) 2.1 standalone is designated for use outside of SAP J2EE Engine environments and supports Java applications up to JSE 1.4.2. The JCo 2.1 is available on various platforms including multiple Windows versions, Linux distributions, Solaris, IBM AIX, and HP-UX. It supports backend systems ranging from AS ABAP release 3.1I to 7.31, strictly in maintenance status. Communication functionalities include inbound, outbound, synchronous, transactional, and queued RFCs. Data types like CHAR, STRING, NUM, and more are supported. For new patch installs, backward compatibility ensures a seamless update process. Only the latest patch versions (2.1.10) are supported until 03/31/2013. Migrations to SAP Java Connector 3.0 are needed for continued support.
