Summary :
SAP strongly recommends the installation of a supported and certified Java VM on Linux x86_64 platforms for running SAP products based on SAP WebAS Java. It is critical to use the SAP-certified JVM 1.4.2 provided either by SAP or IBM to ensure optimum functionality and support for SAP NetWeaver 04 and 7.0. Post September 30, 2012, SAP JVM 4 will become the only supported JVM. Users are advised to reference SAP note 1495160 for further details on SAP JVM 4 and its implementation.
