Cette note SAP traite de la transition de la bibliothèque RFC classique vers la bibliothèque RFC SAP NetWeaver, post SAP NetWeaver 7.10. La bibliothèque et le SDK RFC classiques ne seront plus supportés après la fin de la maintenance des versions SAP jusqu'à la 7.20 après le 31 mars 2016. La note explique que le nouveau noyau 720 prend uniquement en charge la bibliothèque RFC 7.20 qui reste compatible avec les plateformes Unix et MS Windows, permettant la communication avec les systèmes R/3 plus anciens et plus récents. Elle met également en lumière les processus de vérification de version et les patches disponibles pour la bibliothèque RFC.
