Cette note SAP traite des problèmes liés au lancement de programmes 32 bits à partir de la version 6.40 de SAP et de programmes 64 bits à partir de SAP NetWeaver 7.1 en raison de l'absence de DLLs Microsoft runtime telles que msvcr71.dll et msvcr80.dll parmi d'autres. Pour SAP NetWeaver '04 et 2004s, SAP utilise le compilateur Visual Studio .NET 2003, et pour les versions ultérieures, le compilateur Visual Studio 2005 est utilisé sur toutes les plateformes Windows. Cette note précise que lors de l'installation de SAP, les DLLs C runtime nécessaires sont généralement installées via SAPinst. Si l'installation concerne uniquement des composants individuels à partir de la version 6.40, les DLLs nécessaires peuvent manquer.
