Summary :
SAP Note addresses the implementation and troubleshooting of SAPFTP, an FTP client constituting according to RFC 959, executable through RFC call from R/3. Destinations SAPFTP and SAPFTPA pertain to front-end workstation and application server respectively, which are definable via SM59. RSFTP005 is provided to verify and auto-correct RFC destination definitions. Problems such as missing SAPFTP programs or RFC/NW errors leading to timeouts can be diagnosed using trace files dev_ftp and dev_rfc, available under service.sap.com/patches. Additional tools RSFTP001 and RSFTP002 assist displaying trace results and testing FTP commands respectively.
