Summary :
As a result of changes by the Russian Central Bank, SAP systems must now accommodate 20-digit bank account numbers, responding to legal updates effective from January 1, 1998. These updates are implemented under ISO standard 13616, despite it basing on 18-digit numbers. SAP configuration will require expansion in bank account fields and associated attributes within both customer and vendor master records (LFBK, KNBK tables). Customizing will specifically involve adapting the bank number and bank account number fields to meet the new length requirements while ensuring compatibility with Russian domestic money transfer regulations F110_RU_VALUPLAT and F110_RU_PLATJOSH. This adjustment must also reflect accordingly in company’s internal bank details and one-time account setups. The release 4.0B will introduce these changes as standard configurations in the SAP system.
