Summary :
When printing SAPscript/SmartForms in Asian languages (e.g., Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean) using SAPWIN device types on a Multilanguage Windows PC, character output may be incorrect. This issue is due to the specific Asian fonts (MS Mincho, SimSun, etc.) not being installed, leading to incorrect font selection. For server-based printing or newer SAP versions, using SAPSprint or access method 'G' eliminates the need for font substitution. For older versions, manually adjusting font definitions in the device type through SPAD transaction after copying the standard device type may resolve issues. This includes hex values for font changes.
