Summary :
SAP environments often face challenges when file names created by SAP applications cannot be accessed by non-SAP applications due to encoding mismatches, and vice versa. This SAP Note provides the solution using the command line tool sapiconv, available through the SAP Service Marketplace. Sapiconv, reliant on R/3 code page converter and F5-memory, facilitates the conversion of text file encodings between different SAP code pages. It is crucial to use the latest version of F5-memory for up-to-date conversion capabilities. Note that sapiconv does not support Temse file conversion from DIR_GLOBAL and operates solely as a non-Unicode executable.
