Summary :
When altering a parked document in SAP using transaction MIR4 from a previous fiscal year assigned to a purchase order with valuated special stock, users encountered two system messages. After changing the posting date to a new fiscal year and saving, message M8418 indicates deletion and regeneration of the document across fiscal years while message M8185 alerts to an update termination where the document creation failed in the new fiscal year. This is attributed to a programming error. The resolution is incorporated in the Release 4.6C and 4.7 R/3 Support Packages, for which preemptive correction instructions are advisable.
