Summary :
This SAP Note outlines the procedure for implementing authorization controls on Generic Object Services (GOS) in various SAP releases. Solutions range from adding customer-specific authorization checks within screen flows for releases 45B to 46B, to modifying ABAP OO class methods to restrict service availability in releases 46C to 46D. Furthermore, as of release 6.10, authorization checks can be introduced directly without system modification. The note also advises on the use of Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) for controlling the visibility and functionality of GOS, suitable for adaptations in later versions. SAP Consulting is available for additional support as required.
