SAP Note 128854 - CJ40/CJ42: Totaling up after changed hierarchy

Component : Planning -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/128854 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
After project restructuring in SAP, issues arise with plan values on WBS elements due to the "Total up" function's selective adjustment based on node type. Executing "Total up" after restructuring only updates non-end node WBS elements, leaving plan values on former end node elements unaltered and duplicated in the hierarchy. This results in discrepancies that require manual correction for end nodes that are also planning elements. Solution guidelines emphasize the proper use of the "Total up" function during restructuring and recommend manual adjustments for certain elements to ensure accurate project planning values.
