Summary :
This SAP Note addresses frequently asked questions involving the maintenance of GR/IR clearing accounts. "Clearing" refers to the balancing of postings made to the GR/IR account to zero. Transaction MR11 is used for clearing purchase order items with valuated goods receipts. After maintenance, MR11 updates the purchase order history without preventing further postings. GR/IR maintenance is required when quantity differences are unlikely to be corrected by other transactions. User selection parameters cannot be saved via the menu in Release 4.70 and earlier. Freight clearing accounts are updated in stock transport orders if freight costs are defined in customizing. Maintenance may not work for orders already settled. Transaction MR11SHOW cancels maintenance from Release 4.6C.
