SAP Note 696194 - CCMS: MTE class specification in SALK_RFCDEST_AVAILABILITY

Component : Monitoring -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/696194 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
The SAP Note addresses enhancements in the SALK_RFCDEST_AVAILABILITY function module, part of the CCMS monitoring architecture, enabling more flexible monitoring of RFC destinations. Previously, starting the module manually or specifying parameters for monitoring was not supported. With updates in SAP_BASIS 6.20 and 6.40, users can now define a custom MTE class name for RFC destination monitoring, aiding in refined application monitoring contexts. The MTE class name, limited to 30 characters, can integrate with existing monitoring trees to avoid compatibility issues. Monitoring can also be initiated from a program using enhanced method definitions in function group SALW. Implementation requires removing previous monitoring configurations and resetting the system monitor segment.
