Description
Program RSVIEWGN is used to generate maintenance modules for views oftype C or H which are entered in table TVDIR. These maintenance modulesthen form the basis for data maintenance for this view, either usingtransaction SM30 or other programs which you control directly.
We recommend that you proceed as follows:
Define the views in the Data Dictionary
Enter the view in table TVDIR. Here, you must define a function group,the number of screens per entry (1 or 2) and the screen number(s).
Start program RSVIEWGN. The following function codes can be used (youcan enter them in the field Function):
generate - create new maintenance modules for a view
regener - re-create exisitng modules
delete - delete the maintenance modules for a view
credynp - create the screens for a view.
Screens are only (re-)created if they have not been changed using theScreen Painter.
newgui - convert the overview screens to the new graphical interface(Release 2.1B).
uonly - re-create the programs for the function modules
(experts only)
fonly - re-create the database access routines
(experts only)
show - display the table hierarchy for the view
When you have executed the program, transaction SM30 should functioncorrectly for the view.
