Description
With this program you can archive old versions of Repository objects.
The following input parameters are available:

• Selection date:

All versions created before the specified date are placed in thearchive.

• Test run:

If you select this field, no versions are archived. It is just ananalysis, to see how many versions were chosen by the specifiedselection date. The result is output on the spool list.
After archiving, the data of the archived versions is deleted from theversion database automatically.
At the same time, an index is created for the archive files that havebeen created. This enables you to restore and display individualversions from the archive.
Archived versions continue to be displayed in the version overview.They are flagged as "archived".

Precondition
You must archive versions of Repository objects when the ABAP versionmanagement data tables VRSX and VRSX2 take up too much space on thedatabase.

Procedure
The program is started from archive management:
Choose Administration -> System administration ->Administration -> Archiving.
Enter VERSIONS in the field Object name:.
Choose Archive.

Output
A list of the archived versions in the spool list appears.
