Description Report RSAGLSYM compares and analyzes text symbols from the program load with the saved text pool and carries out corrections. The correction is made either in the text pool or in the source version of the program or both, depending on the case. If members are included in a main program, these are included in the comparison. If an include has a different original language to that of the main program, a warning dialog box is displayed. If all texts in the text pool and the program load are correct and identical, the program ends following the message "Text symbols allOK!" Correctly defined text symbols are not offered for editing. If errors have occured, the analysis results are displayed for editing. If you do not have authorization to make changes or lock entries exist, the analysis results can be displayed, but not changed. The analysis falls into 3 sections which can be edited separately. 1. Text symbols which can be deleted from the text pool. You can delete these text symbols from the text pool by editing and marking the appropriate checkboxes. 2. Text symbols which should be added to the text pool. These text symbols are added to the text pool by editing and marking the appropriate text symbols. 3. Text symbols which are defined differently in the text pool and the program load and/ or text symbols which are defined more than once and differently in the program. If you select Edit and then mark the appropriate checkboxes these texts are added to / deleted from the text pool and corrected in the source version of the program. The maximum changeable length of a source string = 65. Longer strings cannot be corrected using RSAGLSYM. In these cases you cannot mark the checkbox. If the source line does not have sufficient capacity to extend a text literal, the line is NOT altered. Neither can the source be compared using RSAGLSYM. Text symbols which have identical texts but are of different lengths are regarded as being correct. |
