SAP Program RREGCH_VM - Substance Volume Tracking: Monitoring

Purpose
In monitoring in substance volume tracking, the system shows to whatextent the quantity limits are reached for individual substances thatare relevant for volume tracking.

Prerequisites

  • In Customizing for Substance Volume Tracking, you have specified
  • the Functions for Volume Monitoring.
    • You have authorization to display the substance data for the required
    • regulation (authorization object C_EHSRC_SV).

      Features
In addition to the Regulatory List required entry field, you canuse various display variants, and you can use the following optionalparameters to restrict the data record:

      • Scenario

      • The system first determines all data records and then filters the datarecords according to the specified scenario. The system must firstselect all data records for the monitoring tables independent of thescenario, so that the relevant overall status can be determined. Youdetermine which scenarios are relevant for a regulation (regulatorylist) in the Customizing activity
        Specify Scenarios.
Entries for a scenario are not taken into account in the MaterialView or in the Substance View.
        • Overall Status

        • The system first determines all data records and then filters the datarecords according to the specified overall status. The system must firstselect all data records for the monitoring tables, so that the relevantoverall status can be determined.
          • Year

          • Determination Date

          • Entries for the determination date are not taken into account in theMaterial View or in the Substance View.
            • Period

            • It only makes sense to enter a period if you have split a monitoringyear into different monitoring periods because you want to monitor thesubstance quantities using time periods that are smaller than a year. Inthis case, you have made the relevant settings in the Customizingactivities Specify Monitoring PeriodsandSpecify Scenarios.
              • Material

              • Entries for the material are not taken into account in the SubstanceView. Since a substance that is to be monitored can occur in severalmaterials, restrictions to the material with regard to the overallstatus cannot be taken into account.
                • Specification

                • Entries for the specification are not taken into account in theSubstance View. Since a substance that is to be monitored can beassigned to several specifications, restrictions to the specificationwith regard to the overall status cannot be taken into account.
                  • Tracked Substance

                  • Plant

                  • The system first determines all data records and then filters the datarecords according to the specified plant. The system must first selectall data records for the monitoring tables, so that the relevant overallstatus (which does not refer to a plant, but instead refers to therelevant company code) can be determined.
Entries for the plant are not taken into account in the MaterialView or in the Substance View. The plant is not relevant sincethe relevant details refer to a company code that covers all of theplants.
                    • Company Code

                    • Internal Only Representative

                    • Specify an Internal Only Representative ifyou want to display all data records relating to sales orders ordeliveries for which you involve the only representative. These onlyrepresentative assignments are maintained using the transaction
                      Only Rep.: Internal Business Partners.
                      • External Only Representative

                      • Specify an External Only Representative ifyou want to display all data records relating to sales orders ordeliveries for which you involve the only representative. These onlyrepresentative assignments are maintained using the transaction
                        Only Rep.: Internal Business Partners.
                        • Logical Destination

                        • In the Customizing activity SpecifyFunctions for Volume Monitoring, you can specify thecustomer-specific function modules for Status Determination, DataDisplay, and Additional Data Display. If you want to accessdata in another system from these function modules, you enter therelevant destination in the Logical Destination parameter.
                          • Quantity Display

                          • The overall status that is displayed for the tracked substance refers toeach of the selected quantity displays:
                            Planned and confirmed quantities
                            Planned quantities
                            Confirmed quantities
                            Standard/History/Condense
Choose Standard Display if you want to see the current datarecord. The system displays the current data record that is stored inthe corresponding monitoring table. The current data record is the datarecord with the current date for the relevant key fields that waswritten to the database using program RREGCH_VT (Substance VolumeTracking: Tracking of Substance Quantities). For the substance that isto be tracked, the standard display shows you the relevant materials, together with the specification that is assigned for each, and theircomponents. The corresponding substance quantity that is displayed isthe quantity that was already calculated using program RREGCH_VT.
Choose Display History if you want to display the increase inquantity. To display the increase in quantity, you must have set theTrack History indicator in the
Specify Scenarios Customizingactivity. If you set the indicator, the RREGCH_VT program creates a newentry and leaves the existing entries for the substance unchanged. Thisallows you to track the increase in quantity per substance.
Choose Condense -> Material View if you want to display acondensed view of the monitored data according to materials. The trackedquantities are then condensed to the following fields:
                            Regulation (regulatory list)
                            Company Code
                            Year or Period
                            Material
                            Specification
                            Tracked Substance
The system determines and sorts all relevant materials for a regulationfor each company code, and each year or period. The scenario, determination date, and plant that are specified as filter criteria arenot taken into account. If you did not specify an only representative inthe selection criteria in the Material View, they may not bedisplayed in the hit list. Specify an only representative if youexplicitly want condensed data for an only representative to bedisplayed. In this case, the only representative is displayed in the hitlist.
Choose Condense -> Substance View if you want to display thecondensed view of the monitored data according to 'Tracked Substances'.The tracked quantities are then condensed to the following fields:
                            Regulation (regulatory list)
                            Company Code
                            Year or Period
                            Tracked Substance
In the Substance View, the system determines the quantity of atracked substance that was processed for a regulation, in a companycode, per year or period. The scenario, determination date, material, specification, and plant that are specified as filter criteria are nottaken into account. If you did not specify an only representative in theselection criteria in the Substance View, they may not bedisplayed in the hit list. Specify an only representative if youexplicitly want condensed data for an only representative to bedisplayed. In this case, the only representative is displayed in the hitlist.
                            Further Explanations:
When you search, you may see a dialog box telling you that a certainnumber of objects was preselected and that further processing may take along time. You can either continue, or you can end the search. You canuse the SVT_HITLIST_MAX_ENTRIES (Maximum Number of Hits for the HitList) environment parameter to set the number of objects above whichthis dialog box appears. For this, see SAP Note 1105018. Note that theactual number of data records that is shown in the hit list can differfrom the number of objects that was previously selected. You may alsosee the No data found error message. This is because selectioncriteria exist that cannot be taken into account during thedetermination of the overall status. Therefore, a greater quantity ofdata may first be accessed during the preselection.
                            Document Check:
The hit list for quantity tracking contains the Document Checkfunction. You can use this to check the planned quantities and to deleteinvalid data records. Background: In substance volume tracking, thesystem saves the planned quantities with a reference to the source.Sources are logistical data, such as order numbers, or document numbersfor purchasing and sales documents. Some logistical data, such asdeliveries, can be deleted immediately, sometimes resulting in thereference to the source disappearing. The entry that has an invalidreference is obsolete and must be deleted.
Select a data record and choose Document Check. If a validlogistics document exists for the data record, you see a green check inthe inspection status field. The inspection status is given a redtraffic light if there are no logistics documents available and the datarecord is obsolete. This data record can then be deleted using theDelete Line(s) function.
