Purpose
This report changes the setting of the standard conversion groups forthe Quantity Conversion Interface (QCI). In Customizing for theIndustry Solution Oil and Gas (Downstream), you can either setthe field CHLQ in table OIB01 to 1 or leave it blank. If you set thefield to 1, the system does not call the external API C codes. If youleave the field blank, the system calls the external API C codes. Youcan carry out this setting by choosing HPM -> Petroleum MeasurementStandards -> Quantity Conversion Interface (QCI) Configuration -> DefineConversion Group and External Function Module Settings.

Integration
You execute the report if no API C codes are installed for theapplication test (1980 version of the API C codes).
Select the following radio buttons and execute the report:

• Check API c-code Installation


• Internal QCI conversion

After you execute the report with this selection, the system sets thefield OIB01-CHLQ in the conversion groups below to 1. Now you can startthe application test without the API C codes being installed.
To use the API C codes in the same client, you use the standardconversion groups. In this case, select the following radio buttons andexecute the report:

• Do not check API c-code Inst.


• Call API c-code

Prerequisites
You have a new installation of IS-Oil, or you want to carry out anupgrade test of IS-Oil.
