Purpose
You can use this program to close or recreate parts. During whichthe program evaluates the closing rules defined in the records.

Prerequisites

• You have defined closing rules (see IMG activity
DefineRules for Automatic Closing of a Part).

• Records are assigned in attribute Closing Part rules.

Features
When the program is run, the closing rules of the folders areevaluated up to the defined closing date (the system date is defined inthe standard system.
Depending on the settings of the closing rule, the closing of a partaccompanies the creation of a new part. You can override the setting ofa closing rule using the indicator Only Close.
You can also enter a future closing date in the field closingdate. If you do this, the closing of the part is marked and carriedout by the system when the date is reached. SAP recommends that youonly run the program with a future closing date during the test run.

Selection
You execute the program for each Records Management system, but theselection can be restricted to individual closing rules.

Output
The results of the program run are issued as an application log.
