Description Program RMMMVERW subsequently sets up theadministrative data> for outstandingmaintenance statuses> (table MOFF) andfor technical data (table MSTA) if this data was not createdsynchronously when transferring material master data by batch input orby direct input. In each case, an indicator determines whether theadministrative data is created synchronously or not (see underBatch input> and Direct input> below). Batch input> Here, you set the indicator for asynchronous updating in Customizingfor the Material Master> in the IMGactivity> Make global settings>. Bysetting this indicator, the administrative data is not updatedsynchronously. Direct input> When accessing the data transfer workbench (program RMDATIND) theSet up administrative data> indicator is not set. Theadministrative data is only updated synchronously if you set it. In both> cases, we recommend that you always run program RMMMVERWif the administrative data has not been updated synchronously since theadministrative data is required for the following functions:
- Finding out which user departments still need to extend a material
master record, or finding out which material master records still needto be extended by a particular user department. You do this on the Material Master> screen by choosingOther> -> Extend matl view(s)>.
- Displaying administrative data
You do this when maintaining a material master record by choosingAdministrative data>. You can run program RMMMVERW in one of two modes:
- Online
- In the background
If you select more than 50 materials, run the program in the backgroundto avoid the risk of a timeout. This is proposed by the program in thiscase. Choose the type of processing you require in the dialog box thatappears. Note> You can also use program RMMMVERW to restore any MOFF records that wereinadvertently deleted by executing the function Extend matlview(s)>.
