All postal packs and containers selected are sorted and passed on tothe function modules for numbering. All sort fields are sorted in ascending order and according to thefollowing procedure: The existing containers are sorted by Logistical delivery type Network Publication Edition Insert mix Recipient country Manufacturing level for container Postal code for container If containers are made up of different issues or insert mixes, theissue or insert mix with the lowest number determines the number of thecontainer. (Since this may lead to an illogical sequence of containers,you are advised not to create containers with mixed contents.) Postal packs are sorted by Container number Logistical delivery type Network Publication Edition Insert mix Recipient country Postal code of postal pack Numbering then begins with the initial value on the selection screenand proceeds sequentially. The postal packs and containers are numbered according to the aboveprocedure during postal packing and container packing. You can performa separate numbering run so that the numbers of the containers orpostal packs are assigned according to different criteria or in othernumber ranges independently of the grouping in container packing andpostal packing. Shipping documents for postal shipping are only sorted according tothese two numbers. |
