Data selection options: This defines the first and last day in the periods for comparison. You can restrict processing to certain subscription types; if you donot make any entries in this field, the report evaluates all existingsubscription sales document types. Offers are excluded from dataselection (although they belong to the sales document type grouping forsubscriptions). You can specify criteria for the sales organization, distributionchannel and product division; if you do not make any entries here, thereport evaluates all subscriptions independently of these factors. You can specify the sales office for the order in this field; if you donot make any entries here, all subscriptions are evaluated irrespectiveof the sales office. Here, you can restrict the subscriptions evaluated to one carrierroute; if you do not make any entries, the report evaluates allsubscriptions irrespective of the carrier route. To select data by a geographical unit (see below) you must specify ageographical hierarchy variant that contains the desired geographicalunit. (For more information on geographical hierarchy variants, pleaserefer to the F1 help on this field.) Here, you can restrict the subscriptions evaluated to one geographicalunit; if you do not make any entries in this field, the reportevaluates all subscriptions irrespective of the geographical unit. Subscriptions to the publications specified here are included in theevaluation; if you do not make any entries in this field, the reportevaluates subscriptions to all publications. Subscriptions to the editions specified here are included in theevaluation; if you do not make any entries in this field, the reportevaluates subscriptions to all editions. These fields allow you to restrict the subscriptions evaluated toeditions that belong to certain report groupings; if you do not makeany entries here, no restrictions are made with regard to thesecriteria. This field allows you to restrict the subscriptions evaluated tocertain service types. This field allows you to restrict the subscriptions evaluated tocertain sales sources. This field allows you to restrict the subscriptions evaluated to salespromotions. This field allows you to determine which item types are to be includedin the evaluation. You can select any of the basic item types: Standard item Trial item Free item You can choose single item types or all three. These options enable you to control how reversed orders (which may havebeen delivered up to their reversal) are to be handled. If you select this parameter, the report includes backdatedsubscription orders from the start date of validity (more precisely,before the regular start of delivery). If you select this parameter, the report includes subscription ordersfor which delivery was not viable in the analysis period. Output control options The report makes a page break in the lists for the summarization levelyou select. The following are possible: Publication Edition Edition report group 1 Edition report group 2 This means for example, if you select the summarization level'Publication', the page header specifies the publication and drilldownis performed according to drilldown criteria (see below) with summationaccording to all the editions of the publication. The same applies tothe other possible summarization levels. You can also select more thanone summarization level. Here, you can determine whether or not the list is to containindividual lines for: Purchase reasons Delivery end reasons You can also restrict the reasons that are to appear in the list inboth these cases. Orders that do not come under this category aretotaled and listed in a separate line. Select this indicator if you want partial subscriptions (for example,Saturday subscribers) to be counted according to the partialsubscription weighting from the mix offers for the edition or whetherthe purchase quantities for partial subscriptions are to be counted infull. Preconditions Output Number of new subscriptions per purchase reason and the number of allnew subscriptions that do not correspond to the selected purchasereasons ('Other reasons'). Number of terminations for each delivery end reason and the number ofall terminations that do not correspond to the selected delivery endreasons ('Other reasons'). Finally, the report displays an error list if error situations wereidentified during the program run. Please note the following: For example: If three new subscriptions are recorded with differentreasons and a weighting of 1/6, a new subscription of 0 is displayedthree times. However, the number of live subscriptions at the end ofthe period is 3/6 and this is rounded up to 1 for the list. |
