SAP Program RJ-J3NEU - IS-M/SD: LIS Reorganization Using Delivery Data

Report RJ-J3NEU can be used to reorganize information structures fromold documents. The program reads IS-M/SD deliveries and updates thestatistics data in the information structures as if the documents hadjust been created.
At present, the program only processes deliveries resident in thesystem; it is not possible at the moment to process archived deliveriesfor reorganization.

Details on functions

  • Version for reorganization

    • The program reads the selected deliveries and starts the statisticsupdate. The difference between this procedure and an online update isthat the statistics data is stored under version '000' in an onlineupdate and under a version number you specify on the selection screenin a reorganization run. The version you specify for reorganizationmust either begin with '&(' or be '000': all other numbers are reservedfor planning functions.
    Version '000' is the version under which 'productive actual data' ismanaged in the Logistics Information System. This may mean that dataalready updated is still present after reorganization if version '000'was not specified explicitly on the selection screen.
    • Redetermining update groups and updating documents

      • You can specify that the program is to redetermine the update groupsfor the deliveries (indicator 'Redetermine update group') and updatethem in the deliveries (indicator 'Update deliveries') on the selectionscreen. If you select these options, the program includes customizingchanges made since the last LIS update in the reorganization andupdates the changes in the documents. (Archived documents cannot beupdated.)
      Caution
      If deliveries have not yet been updated in the Logistics InformationSystem, you must at least redetermine the update groups.
      • Limiting run time

        • You can specify the date and time at which the program is to cancel thereorganization run on the selection screen. For example, you mightspecify a cancellation time so that reorganization is cancelled ifplanning or netchange is to take place. This is particularly importantif the deliveries are locked while the report is running (see below).The dataset at the time of cancellation is stored in a table (TMCW3) sothat you can continue the reorganization process at a later time byspecifying a run name (in the 'Run name' field).
        • Lock all deliveries

          • To prevent deliveries from being changed during reorganization of theinformation structures, you can select the parameter 'Lock alldeliveries'. You can leave the parameter blank for test runs or when nopast deliveries are changed by dialog processing.
          • Error handling

            • If the program identifies a document containing errors (for example,there is no order for the delivery, ...), it writes the document to thebatch log and the document is not included in reorganization.

            Precondition
            The program should only be carried out in background processing, withthe exception of test systems with small datasets.
            Only past deliveries (i.e. deliveries with a shipping date in the past)can be updated in the information structures. The reorganizationprogram therefore does not edit any deliveries for the current date orin the future.
