SAP Program RFTBCMGT00 - Transfer Cash Management Cash Flows to Risk Management

Purpose
You use report RFTBCMGT00 to transfer from Cash Management cashflows in the form of generic transactions. These can then be used inevaluations such as those for interest rate exposure.

Prerequisites
The generic transactions that are created in this process are subject tothe usual check mechanisms. This means that the system can generate thetransactions only if the Customizing settings are correct. This appliesin particular to the settings for integrating financial objects.

Features
If the relevant cash flows exist in Cash Management, then the systemcreates a generic transaction for each combination of company code, business area, grouping, and planning currency (if using the new CMlink, then also account and level). The cash flows are aggregated basedon their maturity dates. If you start the report again but with a laterselection date (start of the selection period), then the system createsnew versions of the generic transactions.
If you specify a template transaction (which you can generate in theGeneric Transaction application RCA00, status 8), then the systemuses the entries stored in the template transaction when it creates thegeneric transactions. The system takes the values from the fields in theExtended Class and Business Environment sections in themaster data screen for the generic transaction. Any elementarytransactions with cash flows that exist for the sample transaction areignored.

Selection
A company code, business area, planning currency, and maturity date (ifyou are using the new CM link, then also account and level) can beassigned to the cash flows from Cash Management. You can also use thesecharacteristics as selection criteria. Cash flows that mature before thetime period of the selection can be included in aggregated form at thestart of the time period of the selection.

Note
When you fill the Grouping field, which is a mandatory field, note thatthe assignment of cash flows to groupings is not usually a uniqueassignment.

Output
If you set the Display Transactions indicator, the systemdisplays a list of the flows that were selected. You can use this listto check that the system has selected the correct flows. Choose Save
so that the system then creates or updates the relevant generictransactions.

Note for Credit Risk
If you start the report in the Update Cash Management Data to CreditRisk application (transaction RMCM) from Credit Risk, then the systemdoes not generate a list. Instead, it calls the application StartPostprocessing (transaction KLNACHT2), taking the financial objectnumbers of the those generic transactions that have been generated orchanged since the key date specified.
Business partner data is then taken from the assignment table(transaction KLMAP) and added to the generic transactions.

Activity
When you save the list of cash flows that the system has selected, itdoes the following:

  • Creates the generic transactions (if these have not been created in a
  • previous run)
    • Updates the generic transactions (if you have run the report before with
    • the same start date for the selection period and the same selectioncriteria)
      • Creates new versions of the generic transactions (if the start date of
      • the selection period is later than the start date you used when you ranthe report previously with the appropriate selection criteria)
The versioning concept for generic transactions does not allow theprogram to update generic transactions for a date that is earlier thanthat of the latest run.
