SAP Program RFTBBW_GEN_DATASOURCE - Manual Generation of DataSources

isbrm

Purpose
Generation of DataSources in Limit Management for the extraction oflimit utilizations to a BW system. The results of the calculation intransaction TBLB or TBL4 - Overview of Limit Utilizations - areextracted. You have the option of extracting data at limit level, or atsingle transaction level, from the source system and importing them intoa BW system.
After the DataSource has been generated, you must use programRFTBBW_INFOOBJ_ODS_GEN to generate in the BW system all the BW objectsthat are required.

Ntegration
Migration scenario for master data and flow data from Limit Management.

Features
You use this program to generate manually extraction structures andDataSources for extracting limit utilizations to BW.

Selection

  • Data extraction: This enables you to define that the system is to
  • generate a DataSource that extracts limit utilizations at limit level(aggregated utilizations) or a DataSource that extracts data at singleutilization level. Any generated characteristics in Limit Management canbe taken into account.
    • BI export specifications. All specifications relevant for BW are
    • required.
      • Enter a name for the extraction structure that is to be generated, and
      • to which the DataSource is to be assigned. The program adds the prefix"STR_" to this name.
        • Enter a name for the DataSource. When the DataSource is generated,
        • the program adds the prefix "1_CL_BA_R3E", where is the current client.
Example: Name specified: LIMIT_EXPOSURE, client: 100, name of generatedDataSource: 1_CL_BA_R3E_100_LIMIT_EXPOSURE.
          • Enter a description for the DataSource.

          • Select the Generate Extraction Structure and
          • Generate DataSourcecheckboxes, and start the program. When the data has been processedsuccessfully, the program displays the message "DataSource was created successfully".

            Activity
Call transaction RSA2 or RSA6 and check that the DataSources werecreated successfully. You can use transaction RSA3 to test the dataextraction. You use transaction RSA6 to make changes to the generatedDataSources. For example, you can enter selection criteria forindividual fields in the extraction structure. These criteria are usedduring the extraction process.
