Re-Initialization of RIB Ledger

Purpose
This program re-initializes RIB ledgers bydeleting entries from the ledger tables and reconstructing them from therevenue and budget source data.

This program is only relevant for the componentBudget Control System (BCS)

Integration
You should run this program:

  • After creation of a new rule for Revenues Increasing the Budget (RIB)

  • After modification of an existing RIB rule

  • After modification of a RIB calculation formula
    • in Customizing
    • After upgrade to SAP release ECC 6.0 or higher.

      Selection
      You start the program for an FM area and a fiscal year. You can restrictthe process to a particular RIB ledger or toselected RIB objects (RIB rules).

      Standard_variants
      You have several options for running this program:
      Test Run
      If you set this indicator, no records are changed in the database, butall messages are logged, as in the productive run.
      Detailed Protocol
      If you set this indicator, all budget or posting lines triggeringmessages during the re-initialization process are displayed.
