Delete archived print document line items

Purpose
This report covers the third step in archiving print document lineitems: deleting line items on the basis of the archive previouslygenerated. The first step, analyzing the print document headers, iscarried out using the REPDAR_ANALYSE_LINES report. In the second stepthe print document headers selected by the analysis report are archivedusing the REPDAR_ARCH_LINES report.

Using the standard IS-U transaction SISU, you will find the accountingview of an archived print document.

    • First step in archiving print document line items: analyzing printdocuments with a view to possibly archiving them.
    • REPDAR_ARCH_LINES

      • Second step: archiving the print document headers selected in the firststep.
      • REPDAR_REL_LINES

        • Use this report to reload data that has been archived and alreadydeleted. Note that you cannot reload individual documents. You have toreload the entire archiving run. This procedure should not normally beused and should be limited to extreme problem cases (for example,incorrect retention period in Customizing).
        • REPDAR_READ_ARCHIVE_LINES

          • This report allows you to read a print document line item archive andto display parts of the data in a list before the deletion program hasbeen executed. It displays the data in a technical view.

          Features
          The deletion report reads print document line items previously archivedin an archiving run from the archive and deletes the correspondingentries in the database tables.

          Starting the program
          When you start the report you can make various settings on the initialscreen:

          • Test run: If you start the report as a test run, no changes are made to
            • the database (updating the archiving indicator in the print documentheader, deleting data). The report reads the data to be deleted fromthe archive file and outputs it in a log.
            • Log type: General statistical data or detail log
              • (can become confusing with large amounts of data).
