Analyze and Archive Profile Values

Purpose
This report is the first step in the process of archiving profilevalues. It encompasses:
The analysis of profile headers with regard to potential archiving
The writing of profile values to an archive file, based on the analysisperformed in the first step.

• Status data of profiile values

Prerequisites

Features
The archiving report is used to select the profile values that liewithin the specified profile number range and whose retention period hasexpired.
You define the retention period in Customizing underDefine Retention Period for Archiving Objects
.
You can use enhancement ETOAR006 to define additionalchecks for archiving profile values in a subsequent analysis process.For more information, see the enhancement documentation.

Selection
When you start the report you can make various settings on the initialscreen:


• Profile number: Limit the dataset to be analyzed by specific
profile numbers
