End of a Job Chain During Installation

Purpose
The report INST_BACKGROUND_END should be scheduled at the end ofa chain of installation jobs. It checks whether the previous jobs weresuccessfully completed.

Features

Activities
Every installation step has a unique sequence number.
All jobs that were scheduled by an installation report run under thesame sequence number as the scheduling report.
The last job of the job chain executes the reportINST_BACKGROUND_END.
The report reads the jobs entered under its sequence number in thetable INSTCNTLJ . If no more entries exist, the report sets thestatus of the current installation step in INSTCNTL toCompleted successfully. Otherwise, the status Terminatedis set.
