SAP Program /SDF/STAD - Single record stats with data entry of and assignment to trans. ID

Description
The Business Transaction Analysis (Transaction STAD) delivers workloadstatistics across business transactions (that is, a user's transactionthat starts when a transaction is called [/n....] and that ends with anupdate call or when the user leaves the transaction) and jobs.

Precondition
Ensure that the system is recording statistics (profile parameterstat/level = 1).
To display the business transaction or job totals, choose Showbusiness transaction totals. To display the single records groupedby business transaction or job, choose Show all records, grouped bybusiness transaction. To display single records as they aredisplayed in Transaction STAT, choose Show all statistic records, sorted by start time.
The start date and time define the beginning of the period to beanalyzed, the read time defines the duration of that period. Rememberthat the system tries to deliver the whole transaction. Therefore thesystem analyzes a time frame that is larger than the read time.Nevertheless, some long-running transactions or jobs might not be fullyincluded in the analysis.
If you select a user in Show all statistic records, sorted by starttime or Show all records, grouped by business transaction
, the system only reads and displays those records that have thisuser's "fingerprint" . If you select a user in Show businesstransaction totals, the system reads all records but only displaysthe records that belong to a business transaction that was initializedby this user. Note that if you select a user the first two options, youmay miss records that belong to this user (even if you change to thethird option afterwards). This is because the user may cause load underuser SAPSYS, for example. Selecting a transaction, program or task typewhich can not be selected in the third option, has the same effect.Again, be careful when you preselect a transaction, for example, andthan change to Show business transaction totals. Setting aminimum time value (or Bytes req. or DB changes) willdisplay all single records in the first two options which are abovethese values. In the third option Show business transactiontotals, the limits are set for the whole transaction or job.
If you choose Include statistics from memory, the system alsoanalyzes statistical records that were not yet written to the statisticfile, but which are contained in the statistics buffer. If you want toanalyze very recent time periods, you should obviously include thebuffered records.
With Server selection, you can analyze the statistics only ofspecific servers . Remember that when you use this option, you may missrecords that belong to the transaction. If you choose Additionaloptions, you can influence the time frame mentioned above or thewait time for RFCs to be analyzed if you did not receive data from aserver that was called as a result of RFC problems, or busyapplication servers that increase wait time.
