Purpose
The change pointer service enables change pointers to be managed easily.The change pointer is an object that stores changes to a businessobject (such as time of change, what was changed in the business object,and so on). The service includes creating new change pointers andsaving, displaying and deleting change pointers (including images). Youcan use this report to delete all data created by the change pointerservice.

Integration
Start the report from the SAP Easy Access screen by choosingAccount Management -> Tools -> Change Pointer Service ->Delete Change Pointer.

Features
This report selects change pointers in accordance with the selectionparameters and deletes them.

Selection
-,,The combination of the Application ID and Export Object Categoryparameters uniquely identifies the change pointer in the application.If the Application ID and Export Object Category fields are notentered, all combinations of these parameters are deleted after youclick on the F8 button (Execute).
-,,"Only Delete Processed" means that all change pointers are deletedthat have status Processed (='P') and for which the retention periodhas passed.
-,,"Delete All" means that all change pointers are deleted.
We recommend making a restriction.

Authorization Checks for the Report
The report is assigned to the authorization groupCNS_DEL.
While the report is running, it only checks the usual authorizationobjects (such as S_PROGRAM, F_EODP_ACT) for execution of a program.
The report is called using transaction CNS_CP_DELETE. The authorizationobjects for this transaction are found using SU22.
