Description You should schedule this report to run periodically in order to deleteold spool requests. The system does not automatically do this. (As of Release 4.6A, you can also use the spool work process to deleteold spool requests. For the settings for this, go to transaction SPAD,and choose "Settings" -> "Spool System" -> "Administr." tab. Precondition You can execute this report online or in the background. If executedonline, however, it may exceed the permitted dialog time and beterminated. Parameters Selection criteria Spool requests without output request Delete all spool requests with no output request Spool requests being processed Delete all spool requests with status "In processing" Completed spool requests Delete all spool requests that were processed successfully (printed and possibly archived) Delete all spool requests for which errors occurred during processing Older than ... days Delete all spool requests created before the specified time period Old Delete all spool requests whose expiration date has passed. Theexpiration date is specified when the spool request was created. Thedefault expiration date is eight days. Client xxx --- Only delete in client xxx (requires authorization SPAR to delete in your own client) * --- Delete in all clients (requires authorization for SPAD) Output Log without deleting All spool requests that match the selection criteria are listed, butnot deleted. COMMIT Specifies how many spool requests are to be deleted before a COMMIT issent. If this number is too large, the rollback file in the databasemay be too big; if this file is too small, database overhead is toohigh. Example You want to delete all successfully processed spool requests that areolder than two days, as well as all requests whose expiration date haspassed. To do this, select Completed>, enter 2 days, and thenselect Old>. |
