Individual Settings for Updating/Displaying Messages

Purpose
Here you define the various individual parameter IDs for updatingmessages

• In the database


• In the job log


• In the EDT log


• In the message display on the screen (system messages in the status bar)

You can make the following individual settings:
If you have defined an individual parameter, the system overwrites theglobal setting defined in Customizing.
Only exception: There are no message types entered in Customizingfor the application. In this case, the system takes a default setting inwhich all message types are taken into account.
CACS_MSGSTORE: Update in the database
CACS_MSGDISP: Display on the screen
CACS_BATCHDISP: Display/update in the job log
CACS_MSGEDT: Update in the EDT log (commission case and commissiondocument only)
Cancellation and error messages cannot be hidden for the databaseupdates or the EDT log because they are required message types for theseparameter IDs. Even if the indicator is not set for these two messagetypes, the program always ensures that these message types are alwaysupdated, as long as they are triggered by the process.
The parameter IDs are only saved in the user master record if you havechanged a parameter ID by selecting the checkbox.
