SAP Program RNUPARAM - IS-H: Maintain Parameters

Description
The program RNCPARAM enables you to maintain the system parameters.There are four different categories of system parameter:

  • Client-Specific, Time-Independent

  • Client-Specific, Time-Dependent

  • Institution-Specific, Time-Independent

  • Institution-Specific, Time-Dependent

    • Use
    From the IS-H Implementation Guide, you can call the maintenancetransactions for one of the above categories, or launch the overallmaintenance transaction. You are also able to maintain certain parame
    ters from a number of places within the system.

    Activity
    When you execute the maintenance transaction, the list of parametergroups appears. Double-clicking a parameter group displays the systemparameters that make up this group. A further double-click on the groupand the system parameters are hidden again. If you choose ExpandAll, the system displays all of the system parameters under theirrelevant parameter group. To undo this action, choose Collapse all

    The system displays the short descriptive text for each parameter bydefault. You can display the technical name used by the system bychoosing Technical Name.
    Find String enables you to search for a particular parameterusing the technical name.
    You can display a comprehensive description of the parameter by choosingLong Text. This text also provides information on permitted inputvalues.
    Overview Maintenance enables you to maintain the parameter valueswithin the list display. Individual Maintenance displays a dialogbox for you to change the values of a specific parameter, if required.
    If a value is not maintained for a system parameter, this parametervalue is distinguished as follows in the overview list:

    • If an SAP default value exists for the parameter, this value is
      • displayed in a colored field (green by default) that is notinput-enabled.
      • If there is no SAP default value for the parameter, the text "missing"
        • instead of the parameter value is output in the colored field (red bydefault).
        To maintain this kind of parameter value, you must go to the individualmaintenance of the parameter.
        You save your changes in the database by choosing Save. If youwish to discard your changes, choose Cancel.
