Description
This program enables you to find canceled cases for which there arestill active, non-canceled services or procedures in the system.
You can execute the program in test mode, or in live mode. If you starta live run of the program, be aware that that changes will be written towritten to the database! You will not be asked to confirm these changes.
If the program find cases with active services, the system checkswhether billing documents exist for each of the services in question.
If no billing documents are found (and you are running the program inlive mode), the program cancels all services relating to the canceledcase using today's date and the user name of the person running theprogram.
If a billing document is found for only one of the services relatingto the canceled case, the active services will not be canceledautomatically. The comment field in the log will inform you that billingdocuments exist, but you will have to process these cases manually.
If the program finds canceled cases with active procedures in yoursystem, it only cancels these procedures if they are not assigned toservices. If assigned services exist, it can be assumed that there arestill billing documents for these services. It is impossible to cancelthe procedures for the same reasons as for the services stated above.
If the procedures can be canceled, the system stores the current date,the user of the person executing the program and the program name(RNUNFALS) in the fields STDAT, STUSR and TCODE respectively. The TCODEhelps subsequently identify all of the procedures canceled by theprogram. All assignments to diagnoses in the table NDICZ are alsocanceled.
