SAP Program RNSL502 - IS-H: BPflV 1995 L 5 - Surgical Procedures Statistics


The RNSL502 program creates the L5 - Surgical Procedures StatisticsRequired by the Federal Regulation for Hospitals in Germany(Bundespflegesatzverordnung 1995).

Precondition
INCLUDE 'ISH_STAT_SELEKTIONSBILD' OBJECT DOKU ID TX
Since only surgeries pertaining to patients who have been dischargedare included in the statistics, the evaluation or comparison periodrelates to the date of discharge and not to the date of the surgery.

Case logging in the surgical procedures statistics is available for theSurgeries without surgical procedure code and Surgerieswithout service rows.

If you only wish to evaluate particular surgical procedure codes,specify the desired codes. You can also stipulate the number ofcharacters in the surgical procedure code to be output. If you do notwant to restrict the evaluation to main surgical procedure codes,deselect Only take main s.p. code into account.

The Without foreign cases option enables you to stipulatewhether or not foreign cases are to be included in the evaluation.Please refer to the F1 documentation.
The statistical evaluation requires patients to be classified by aage-group. You define the relevant age-groups in Customizing for IS-Hby choosing Information Systems -> Statistics Structure ->Define Age Grouping.
If the evaluation is to be executed only for particular specialties,specify these accordingly, and then select Specialty-relatedbefore running the program.
By selecting Assignment of surgery to inpatient specialty stayyou determine that each surgery is assigned to the specialty into whichthe patient is admitted as an inpatient at the time of surgeryperformance. If the surgery is assigned to the specialty in which itactually was performed, deselect this option.
If you also wish to see the specialties located below the specifiedspecialties in the organizational structure, select the correspondingoption. You maintain the specialty hierarchy in Customizing for IS-H bychoosing Hospital Basic Data -> Hospital Structure ->Organizational Structure -> Maintain Specialty Hierarchy. Similarly,you can display the departmental organizational units that belong tothe specialties you selected.

Services and surgeries
The program evaluates the surgical procedure codes that are assignedvia a service to an outpatient visit of the visit type "Surgery". Notethat only the entry in one service is relevant for the number ofsurgical procedure codes; the quantity of the respective service is nottaken into account

Output
The evaluation outputs the following information for each surgicalprocedure code:

  • The actual code in the length specified on the selection screen

  • The text for the surgical procedure code, if you selected Text for
  • surg. proc. code.
    • The number of occurrences of the surgical procedure code in services of
    • an outpatient visit of the type 'surgery'.
      • The number of additional surgeries that were carried out in connection
      • with the surgery
        • The number of surgeries is additionally classified by age-group

        • Totals rows are formed:
          • For the entire institution

          • Depending on the settings on the selection screen, for the specialty
          • and/or
            If you activated case logging, a row is output for
            • Outpatient visits of the type "surgery" that have no services assigned

            • Outpatient visits of the type "surgery" that have services assigned but
            • no surgical procedure codes are assigned to the services
