Description
You can use this report to generate insurance verification requestsautomatically for outpatient cases. You can process cases with billableservices and cases without billable services.
If a case already has billable services, the Insurance VerificationServices Overview function is executed. If the case does not haveany billable services yet, the Extended Insurance Verificationfunction is executed.
When you run the report, you can either execute the InsuranceVerification Services Overview or Extended InsuranceVerification function directly, or specify that you want to generatea batch input session. You will then process this batch input sessionin a separate step.

Precondition
Insurance verification requests can only be generated if at least oneinsurance relationship has been defined for the case in question, andthe services have not been assigned to a certificate.
If a case does not have any billable services (and, consequently,extended insurance verification is performed), an insuranceverification request can only be generated if default values orpre-approved insurance have been defined for the insurance providerwith the highest ranking in the insurance relationship.
On the selection screen, in the Select Cases group box, youspecify whether you want to select cases

• By visit date


• By cases


• By case selection

If you want to select cases from a large range of visit days, youshould restrict your selection by specifying a visit type as well.

Output
If you select Start Immediately, the system displays a list ofthe cases that were processed, and whether any errors occurred duringprocessing.
From this list, you can branch directly into the service entry screen(where you can correct any errors) by choosing the Servicesfunction.
If you select the Errored only option, you can restrict the listto cases where an error occurred.
If you do not select the Start Immediately option, the reportcreates a batch input session, which you can analyze and process usingtransaction SM35.

Example
You could execute the report daily for all outpatient cases withcertain outpatient visit types.
