SAP Program RN2UTDT_USE - Share Document Categories

Title
Sharing Parameterized Document Categories (PMDs) on a System

Purpose
This program enables you to provide standard document categories or selfdeveloped document categories on several clients, without copying thedesign elements. The design elements only exist on your system'sdevelopment client. A copy of the document category is created on eachadditional client permitting access to the document category's generatedelements of (programs and tables).
All the properties of the document category to be copied aretransferred. The forms generated for the document category are client-d
ependent and are also copied.
Start the program in the client in which you wish to create the copy(target client). This program produces a copy of the header data of thesource document category. The source document is a document that theuser would like to use on several clients. The copy has all theproperties of the source - it calls the same generated objects andwrites the data into the same table. The copy cannot be changed. Changesto generated objects directly affect all copies.
If you change the source document category's header data and you alsowish these changes to affect the copies, you can retransfer the datausing RN2UTDT_USE. Then the program updates the header data on thetarget client.

Selection
The client or institution of source and target must be different.

Details on the Source
Enter a document category version from one client and one institution.

Details on the Target
The client and institution are required entries. All the properties ofthe document category to be copied are transferred. The forms generatedfor the document category are client-dependent and are also copied.
A test run is not planned. The copy is created immediately.

Output
All the properties of the document category to be copied aretransferred. The forms generated for the document category are client-d
ependent and are also copied.
The header data of the copy is locked for a repeat generation and thecomment for the master element is set to Header Copied(noelement list and no abstract design).
