Title
Batch Input: Create Physical Inventory Documents for Cycle Counting

Purpose
This report enables you to generatebatch input sessions tocreate physical inventorydocuments for thecycle countingphysical inventory procedure.

Precondition
The report only takes materials with the cycle counting indicator intoaccount. Before running the report, you must set this indicator atplant level for all materials that are to be covered by the cyclecounting. You can set the cycle counting indicator as follows:

  • Manually in the storage data of the material master record

  • Automatically with report RMCBIN00

  • INCLUDE MMIM_INVENTUR_BTI LANGUAGE EN

    Features
    You can include stock in quality inspection and blocked stock in theselection in addition to unrestricted stock.
    By specifying a threshold value, you can specify that stocks are onlyto be considered upwards of or up to a specified level.

    Selection
    INCLUDE MMIM_SELEKTION LANGUAGE EN

    Output
    The report outputs a list containing the following information:
    First thestock management units forwhich no physical inventory (PI) document can be created are listed.
    Then those stock management units for which the physical inventory isalready active are shown. Since the physical inventory has not beenended within the predefined buffer time, it must be completed as amatter of urgency. These units are therefore not taken into accountwhen the batch input session is generated because active PI documentsstill exist for them.
    After this the materials for which a cycle counting physical inventoryis necessary within the planning period (specified interval for theplanned count date) are listed. If the physical inventory should havetaken place before the planning period, the planned inventory countdate is shown in highlighted color.

    Activities
    With Edit -> Generate Session, you can create the batch inputsession for the creation of the PI documents from within the list.
    With Goto -> Process Session, you can run the created sessionto create the PI documents.
