Purpose
You must perform this conversion program if master records forserialized equipment exist, for which theconstruction type andmaterial number aredifferent, and these numbers should be kept synchronous in the future.
The conversion program synchronizes the construction type in all masterrecords without taking into account the maintained value of thematerial number.
After the conversion, in Customizing for Plant Maintenance andCustomer Service under MaintainEquipment Category, you can set the indicator such that theconstruction type must always be the same as the material number.
