SAP Program RICL_BRF_COPY_RULES_BY_LOB - Copies Rules From One LOB to Another LOB

Purpose
This report is used to copy insurance lines of business in theBusiness Rule Framework(BRF). You can use this report to transfer rules and rule sets from oneline of business to any other lines of business. Copying is flat, inother words, the system does not create any new expressions, actions, orrule sets.

Integration
This report is only suitable for rules and rule sets of the ClaimsManagement system (FS-CM) as it is based on the tables TICL943, TICL944,and TICL007. In particular, it is not suitable for copying rules in thestandard BRF, as the standard BRF does not know these tables.

Prerequisites
Both the source line of business and the target line of business mustexist. None of the specified target lines of business must be the sameas the source line of business.

Selection

  • Select the source line of business and the target line/s of business.

  • Normally, no rules will exist yet in the target line/s of business
  • (neither rules in the event nor rules in a rule set). However, if anyrules should exist in at least one of the target lines of business, youcan delete these beforehand. To do so, set the indicator DeleteTarget LOB Beforehand.
    • If you want to shift (in other words, not just copy) rules from one line
    • of business to one or more other lines of business, set the indicatorDelete Source LOB Afterwards.
      • You can specify whether the transport information should be written to a
      • normal transport request or whether it should be assigned to a BC set.
        • If you do not want to change any data in the database for the moment,
        • set the indicator Simulation.

          Output

          • The system outputs a list with the lines of business to which the rules
          • of the source line of business have been copied.
            • The system displays a list of all copied rules.

            • This system outputs the number of added, changed, and deleted entries of
            • the tables TBRF943 and TBRF944.
              • Transport entries are written in the customizing client, or the changed
              • table entries are assigned to BC sets. The system might query somedetails.
