Purpose
When you are changing the standard communication type of externalbusiness partners, some actions are not permitted or are notappropriate and are, therefore, not carried out:

• Change to the same communication type (for example, EMAIL to EMAIL)


• Changes between subtypes of the same communication type URI

FTP to HTTP and vice versa
FTP to HTTPS and vice versa
HTTP to HTTPS and vice versa
If you do not fill the field for the old value for standardcommunication type, then the new value is set for all external businesspartners; otherwise it is set only for the partners whose oldcommunication type corresponds to the restriction.
