Purpose
Reading the items in the account balance for a business partner with alarge number of items usually takes up a lot of time. To avoid longresponse times, you can use this report to preselect items forparticularly large partners and display them in the account balanceinstead of the current list. In order to ensure that the account balanceis up-to-date, you should update this balance at regular intervals.

Output
This report creates the current dataset for all business partners orselected business partners defined in Customizing and saves it as a datacluster in the database in the form of a snapshot.

Activities
The business partners for whom you want to create a dataset are enteredin the Implementation Guide for Contract Accounts Receivable and Payableunder Basic Functions -> Account Balance Display in the activityDefine Business Partners for the Creation of Snapshots or in theSAP menu under Settings -> Current Settings -> Business Partners forSnapshots.
You can control whether a snapshot created is to be used in the displayof the account balance in event module 1219. There you can also evaluatea statistics table (see coding with comments in sample moduleFKK_SAMPLE_1219) that provides statistics ofthe item set per contract account/contract. Then, dependent on theselection entered, you can

• Use the snapshot if an account with lots of items was specified


• Not use the snapshot if an account with few items was specified
