Purpose
This program generates rules for GM Revenues Increasing the Budget (RIBrules).

Prerequisites

• You already have budget or posting data.


• You have defined a derivation strategy for
generation of RIB rules in GM Customizing.

Features
The program creates new RIBobjects with all necessary attributes defining valid rules forrevenues increasing the budget. When you run the program, the indexentries that assign budget addresses to RIB objects are created usingthe derivation strategy for RIB objects. The program further assigns allattributes which are necessary for a validRIB rule (for instance theactivation status, filterprofile, calculation formula and thereceiving budget address) using the derivation strategy for thegeneration of RIB rules. The program only adds new entries to thedatabase; it does not modify or delete existing entries.

Selection


• Select options for each of the active GM dimensions.

If you set the indicator Only Update Index, no RIB rules arecreated by the program. Instead, the program only creates new indexentries that assign budget addresses to existing RIB objects.

Output
The display list contains the number of created RIB objects and RIBrules. You can display an error log if there were errors during thegeneration of RIB rules.
