Purpose This program is used to transfer awards data from the HR system. Thetransferred data is stored in the Accrual Engine. Based on this data, provisions can then be calculated and posted forawards. This is done using transaction SOAACT.> Simulations can also be carried out on the basis of the datatransferred. This is done using the simulation mode in the informationsystem (transaction SOAPSITEMS>) We recommend that you transfer data from the HR system periodically inorder to update the data in the Accrual Engine. When the data is updated, the number of outstanding awards in theAccrual Engine is also updated. After the data update, the required provisions can be adapted byrestarting transaction SOAACT. When the outstanding awards are authorized, the change is logged in theAccrual Engine, in order to guarantee transparency with regard to theprovisions.Prerequisites The RFC connection to the HR system must be customized in theIMG for Provisions for Awards>. In the HR system, a few preparatory activities have to be carried out.Seefolowing notes>.Features RESET N1 This program performs the following activities: Data selection from the HR system (see below). Conversion of the data transferred from the HR system using thecorresponding Customizing for Provisionsfor Awards>. If processing was not started in the test run: Storage of the converted data in the Accrual Engine. Note: If you want to transfer the data from the HR system for test purposes, you must delete this data before going live. You can delete test data using transaction SOADATADEL. To do this, youmust have already activated the "Legacy Data Transfer for TestPurposes" for all relevant company codes in Accrual Engine Customizing.Selection The data is selected in the system that is defined as the RFCdestination in Customizing forProvisions for Awards>.Output The data transferred from the HR system is displayed in a results list Example See the detailed Provisions for AwardsExample>. This example also provides important information with regard to thetime-dependence of transferred data. |
