Archiving Change Numbers

Purpose
You use this program to archivechange numbers in orderto, for example, remove them from the database.

Features
First, you select the change numbers to be archived. Here, you candefine, for example, that only those change numbers are archived inwhich the indicator Deletion flag is set.
The following related data is also archived for a change master record:

  • Object management records

  • Long text for a change number

  • Classification for a change number

    • Using the "Customizing View for Archiving", you canspecify whether the program for deleting archived data is automaticallycalled.
    The following function modules are used:
    • ARCHIVE_OPEN_FOR_WRITE

    • ARCHIVE_NEW_OBJECT

    • ARCHIVE_PUT_RECORD

    • ARCHIVE_SAVE_OBJECT

    • ARCHIVE_WRITE_STATISTICS

    • ARCHIVE_CLOSE_FILE

    • ARCHIVE_REGISTER_CLASS

    • TEXT_ARCHIVE_OBJECT

    • CLASSIFY_ARCHIVE_OBJECT

      • Output
      The program creates an archive file. You can also find the results ofan archiving run in the Archive Administration.
