Program to Convert the Document Templates for SAP EH&S Release 2.7A(New Value File Gen.)

Purpose
This report program must be executed so that value file generation canfunction correctly for existing document templates for SAP EH&S Release2.7A. The report RC1XTC does the following:

• Checks all document templates that have the status In work or
Released and generates a log of all templates that containwarnings or errors

• Inserts control symbols internally in the structure file that are
necessary for value file generation from SAP EH&S Release 2.7A
In the job log, you are given a list of the document templates that ledto errors or warnings in the check:

• Errors can occur, for example, if you have subsequently deleted symbols
that are used in the document template, or the numbering of repeatinggroups is not unique within a hierarchy.

• Warnings occur if symbols are present in the layout without a
corresponding repeating group or with the wrong repeating group.
This check is new to SAP EH&S Release 2.7A and ensures that no solitarysymbols are used in the report templates.
Note:
The document template is not changed by the report. Only the internalSAP System structure file is adapted accordingly with control symbols.
Document templates in statuses other than Released or Inwork are not converted. These you must check individually in theWindows Wordprocessor Integration (WWI) application using the CheckLayout function. The internal control symbols are then insertedautomatically and the template is checked for the stricter syntax.

Prerequisites


• You have installed a generation server in Customizing for Product
Safety (for example, SV001) on which WWI 2.7A is installed.

• The report has the parameter L_GENPC in which you must enter this
generation server. The process can be automated by the generationserver and not every document template must be checked individually.
Note:
If you execute the report first in test mode, you do not need to entera generation server. A list of templates to be converted is displayed.

• The report should be executed in batch mode. To do this, a variant must
be defined for the report with the generation server that you enteredas a parameter. Specify the variant when you schedule the job.

• The TESTMODE indicator must not be set.

Activities


• Execute the report in test mode first if you wish. You will receive a
list with the number of templates to be checked.

• The report itself must only be executed once for document templates in
the SAP System.
If you have stored document templates on other data carriers (forexample, archive), you must adapt Customizing of the DocumentManagement System (DMS) for these data carriers and execute thereport individually for each data carrier.
As a rule though, all your templates should be stored in the SAPSystem, and this is how the report is designed.

• Correct the errors and warnings in the document templates that you want
to continue using.
