Purpose
The report copies existing assignments of variants to an approval yearand plan version to the plan version and approval year that youspecify.

Features

• Test run : The report carries out the copying you specified,
without the changes actually becoming effective in the system. The logsprovide information on the copying and on any errors that occur.

• Replace assignments: If variants have already been assigned to
your target plan version, the system replaces these, but only if youchoose the "replace assignments" option.

• Processing control: Choose the "assign old variants" option, if
you want to assign an existing variant to another version in addition.Choose the "copy as new variant" option, if you want to create andassign a new variant. In this case, the data of the reference forcopying are automatically copied to the new variant.

• Log control: The system provides an overview of the new
assignments. The error log lists appropriation requests in whichproblems occurred, such as:
Assignments in dependent alternate requests prevent new assignments.
Variant numbers were not entered, in the case of manual numberassignment.
