Purpose You can use this report to copy objects from the Business Rule Framework(BRF). When you copy BRF objects, the system creates new objects under a newname, either with a prefix and/or a suffix. You have the following options for copying BRF objects:
- You can copy just the specified BRF object.
- You can simulate the copy process, meaning that the objects
are not actually copied. This selection is useful for checking theassignment of names, for example.Integration You can use this report to copy all BRF objects in a client. Prerequisites The object you want to copy must exist. Selection Specify the following data for the BRF object you want to copy:
- Client
- Import status
- Application class
- Category
- Object ID
The new object is given the name of the original, plus the specifiedprefix and suffix. You can either specify just a prefix or a suffix orboth. Note:> If there is already an objectwith the new name (consisting of theprefix_objectID_suffix), the suffix is shortened and a sequential numberis added. Avoid this kind of entry as it is difficult to read the name. Make one of the following settings:
- If you want to copy just the specified BRF object, select
CopyFlat.>
- If you only want to simulate the copy process, select Simulate.>
Output The system displays a list. In the top part of the list, you can see theobjects involved and their assignments. In the lower part, the objectsare sorted by their new names/object IDs.
